When I started watching the series, I was so hooked that I binged through them all on a Sunday. The animation is brilliant and sucks you into this beautiful and bright world with music hidden in every nook and corner. Then, we meet the MC who just can't find his place in all this beauty because of his traumatic past. He soon meets the beautiful and spunky female lead who helps him discover his self-worth again. However, there is a dark future ahead of them, as new challenges are uncovered, those that can't be overcome by simply being positive. Ahem. Don't get me wrong, I do love a character who shows turmoil and conflicting emotions, because that's what makes them human and relatable, but it does sound like the usual trope doesn't it? Despite the overused theme, The series manages to pull it off really well and makes you feel like you just sat through something new.

My beef is with the way the love interest's background is revealed. it seemed slightly contrived, the reason why she sought him out. Their childhood encounter feels forced and could've been done away with tbh. It dragged the story down in my opinion and made it feel a bit stretched.

Other than that, it's one the few romance anime that I really enjoyed watching in the past 5 years or so. Its music remained on my playlist for months after I saw it :)
