Story:
Clannad follows the story of Okazaki Tomoya who is a high school student and he is also a delinquent with no interest. He mostly skips school and spends time at his friend Sunohara dorm. One day he meets a girl at the school gate who is muttering to herself her name if Nagisa Furukawa he befriends her and finds the she is very sensitive and often becomes so she has to skip school often. Then frome there the story goes on as were are introduced to rest of his friends and the story goes on. For me the story of clannad is very good but after some time it gets boring in the middle as there are a lot of girls but the main girl of the story is nagisa and her dream to revive the drama club. When the characters are introduced and we find out about there past and the tragic story behind this is where it truly shines. Clannad tells us an emotional tale about life and its pros and cons. Well clannad is not the best anime out there and many may disagree with me on this but it tells a good story well what can i say pretty much half of it.
Characters:
Clannad has some pretty interesting characters as every character has its own personality and traits. Now clannad left much of the information out there as many of the characters did not get properly introduced and leaves much to the imagination of the viewer. Well i can say that most of the girls have their own personality except most of them love tomoya. As a visual Novel adaptation it is pretty normal.
Sound & Art:
Sound is also one the department in which clannad in truly amazing as some the tracks are emotional and heart breaking to relaxing. Clannad did not had a long list of soundtracks but the ones it has are pretty amazing. As far as the art and animation goes clannad was adapted by kyoto animation and if you have any one of there anime you know that the pretty amazing in this field.
Verdict:
Clannad is an amazing anime if you love romantic, slice of life shows with a supernatural twist to it. yes it can get boring at some times but the real meat of the show comes at the and with the continuation in the second season it is definitely worth watching.
