Story 7/10: The story could definitely have used more development... we travel alongside our two main characters trying to gain some insight into the motives and objectives of the parasytes.. and although we gradually gain a general understanding of things throughout the course of the show, there are questions that remain unanswered at the end.

The story isn't hard to follow as it's pretty straightforward with minimal jumping around.. the concept and ideas in the show are also quite interesting and I imagine anyone that likes sci fi, supernatural, or philosophical/psychological themes will be drawn in by the subject matter.

Art 8/10: Nothing to complain about here. The art didn't stand out as anything spectacular but the design and look of the parasytes and characters in the show is plenty satisfying.

Sound 10/10: I thought the soundtrack fit the mood of the show perfectly; moments of mysterious dimly lit rooms and alleyways contrasted by fight scenes given a feeling of power and transcendence by the soundtrack.

Character 8/10: The human characters are nothing to write home about, although the main human character undergoes a great deal of transformation and development throughout the show mentally, emotionally, and physically. As the majority of your journey is focused on him the other human characters receive little to no development and are rather uninteresting.

The parasytes are a bit more intriguing and it's interesting to see how they think and act in the show. Aside from the main character and some of the parasytes, nothing stands out here. However, given that most of the show is focused on the main character and the parasyte connected with him, development in the supporting cast isn't as crucial.

Enjoyment 9/10: The concept of the show is unusual and quite intriguing, and its fun getting to see how our main character develops throughout the show and his relationships with the parasytes. Definitely enjoying to watch, I would watch it again in the future.

Overall 9/10: I had to give this a 9/10 because although it might not have had perfect story development or rich depth-filled characters, the show was still very enjoyable to watch.. I finished the whole thing in just a few days and I always found myself eager to view the next episode and discover what would transpire next in this strange, darkly mysterious story.

(If you are watching this, like me, because it was #1 in recommendations for Tokyo Ghoul, then go ahead and give it a try.. I think you''ll enjoy it as I did.)
