First of all i must admit it was fun to laugh at. It is barely even animated most of the movement is either using a terribly low frame rate alternating between a couple of frames a simple background moving instead of the characters or simply terrible computer generated textures or particle effects i mean come on the only reason you can tell that fire is fire is because it is red. The comedy in this show is basic and predictable ruining every punchline and they never do anything except generic slapstick. The characters are so shallow it feels insulting to one dimensional characters to call these characters one dimensional. The action is incredibly boring using nothing but flashy finishing attacks and never has anything remotely clever, no strategy nothing. Most battles end with a ridiculous ass-pull like natsu eating a new type of magic and gaining its power or erza pulling out a new armor more powerful than the last but it never makes sense why she didn't use it in the first place Lucy also waits until she is about to loose before she uses her strongest spirit, and they constantly are fighting stronger enemies without any training, fairy tail never looses and character deaths are the rarest thing in the whole show and the reason they always win is because of the " power of freindship". All character development happens sporadically and on the most superficial level. Even the fanservice is boring, not hot and has no value other than surface level eroticism. there are many other problems but let me leave you with this, if you want to watch a long form shonen manga adaptation you can literally watch and enjoy any other one except for this one and i apologize for my run-on sentences.
