A section will be marked if it has slight spoilers, because I can't do what I would find an acceptable review without them.
Story - The story itself was actually very nice. Boy goes back and tries to save everyone that's in trouble. It's enjoyable to watch for me. I actually have a bit that irriated me, but I'll leave that for enjoyment because I feel it would fit better there.
Art - Art was art I guess. I never am one to complain about bad animation unless it's truly horrific. Everything looked very nice and clean to me. Pleasing to the eyes.
Sound - Sound is exactly the same as art.
Character - Now this is personally where I think Erased shined to me. I absolutely loved the characters and how they played out. My particular favorite was the mother of the MC, Sachiko. She was just an amzing character and a great mother. She wasn't cliche or annoying at any time, which made me fall in love with her. I also loved Kayo, the main girl Saturo (The MC) is trying to protect. She just was very nice on the eyes and while reclusive at first, she was a great character for the show. Characters made this show amazing.
***SPOILER IS HERE BE WARNED***
Enjoyment - Now here is something I can say is good and not so good. I enjoyed episodes 1-10 immensely enough that after I had watched episode 10, I was initially going to give Erased a score of 10, but episodes 11 and 12 changed that quite drastically honestly. Satoru and Kayo were so well together as MC's and they were so cute and perfect matches for each other. Well nope, Saturo goes into a coma and wakes up and Kayo is married to someone else, with a child. That honestly both threw me off and broke my heart kinda. I hate that two characters that went so well together aren't doing anything, especially since they were so close and important to each other when they were younger. It just truly doesn't sit well with me at all. I know it isn't even classified as a romance , but still, it mad me really sad. Besides what I just said, this also mixed comedy and drama extremely well together, not putting any uneeded comedic situations where they weren't either needed or appropiate. Erased made me smile with that aspect.
***SPOILER ENDS HERE***
Overall - Overall, I loved it for the most part. It was a good and I think it's something that people will enjoy for a while. Yeah, episodes 11-12 disspointed me and took away a decent bit from the series, but I'll try not to let that impact how I feel because of it's biased reasoning. Lol besides, I'm going to jump on FanFiction.net and see if there's any decent Saturo x Kayo works up. I'm sure I'm not the only person to feel this way.
Either way, great and I recommend it to anyone that likes both humor and heartbreak. While I wish it ended differently, there isn't anything I can do to change it. Well worth watching. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.
