Now that I've finished Re:Zero I am writing my first review based on it.
Re:Zero is a great take on the Isekai anime style that changes a lot of the genre standards. I was hyped up for this show since i discovered that it was going to be in production sometime in January or February of 2016. When it finally aired I eagerly anticipated every episode from week to week waiting to see where the story of Subaru, Emilia, and all the others would go. It was one of the first anime I've seen in a long time that I really wanted to keep up with and that i thoroughly enjoyed every week even if something terrible happened in the episode. I fully enjoyed the art and music of the show as both were extraordinarily good and fit the show really well. Overall though, the best part of the show is arguably its character development, and watching Subaru evolve to solve his problems these last 25 weeks has been extremely entertaining. I give this show a 10/10 and I am happy to say that it has 1-upped Steins Gate as my personal favorite anime. I highly recommend giving Re:Zero a watch and I look forward to waiting to seeing if, once more light novel chapters are done, White Fox will give us a season 2.
