Noragami have a lot of arcs with different themes. So, you will never be boring because it's never a lot of fights nether a lot of comedy constantly.
The anime is good to, but I strongly recommend to read the manga first.
Another thing I love so much is the design feature of the manga. It's very clean and enjoyable. You can see the authors are hardworking to give us a nice story with great drawings.
