This anime starts out with an interesting premise but it is never built upon in any positive way. Things become more convoluted but never more clear. By the end, you understand just as little as when things began. Nothing comes together neatly, the main character is utterly forgettable and unrelatable, it seems as though nowhere near enough happens in each episode and none of the 8432943 concepts in this show, that are constantly talked about, are ever expanded upon or made clear. A good example of this is the way the show bothers to introduce mezzo, macro and micro attacks, terms which clearly mean a lot in the world of C, but mean nothing at all to the user, as nothing is ever explained. In fact, as the show goes on, more and more things are added on that only confuse the viewer further. Eventually, whole cities are being swallowed up by the midas bank without proper explanation. The artistic direction of the show has a nice style to it but the forgettable characters drag that down and the blending of CGI and traditional drawing in battle scenes is hit or miss at best. I found the whole thing very boring. Which is sad, because since the premise was an interesting one, I honestly wanted to like it.
