A good sequel.

The story is very similar to the original and revolves around tracking down those who can not be judged by Sibyl. Here the situation has been changed with more focus put into a discussion on society. If you didn't like the all the psychological babble before, I have good news. There's even more.

The art style has its ups and downs. The background color schemes are mostly gray or boring colors and feel slightly depressing to look at. Admittedly, its traditional to have a crime drama set in dark alleyways and poor lighted places so it maybe an aesthetic choice. Meanwhile the holo displays and special effects are really good. Blood splatters and facial expressions are handled well too.

I don't have any problems with the sounds. The dominators sound good. The various technology chimes and blips manage to avoid being annoying. The voice acting was good from the subbed perspective.

The characters are what make this show great. The MC was fully developed in the original show. Now she's set loose on the world. There's no need to analyze her behavior. Just sit back and watch one of the strongest female leads ever take charge. The other returning cast members are treated the same way and have almost no development time. Instead we are introduced to a couple of new characters that receive developmental attention.

Enjoyment is going to be hit or miss. If you liked the first one, then this will be fine. I don't think of it as a step down, but it doesn't recapture the initial wonder of the original. New elements aren't added into the world and much of the story formula remains the same.

Overall it's a solid sequel. It adds a few layers onto the story without changing direction. Not so much launching to new heights as a step in the right direction.
