Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (31/66 chp)
After having read the reviews to this manga, I thought I'd give it a try and see if it were as good as people said. But all it gave me was a massive headache.

The story is cliche, the protagonists start off as rivals then slowly start developing feelings for each other. And by slowly, I mean painfully slowly. It's as if the author didn't know how to fill 50 chapters so she just used the typical, over-used scenario where the main character is completely unaware of her feelings and everyone else's. Even if they spelled it out for her, she still didn't get it. So we spend more than half of the manga trying to get Kujou to think for herself and acknowledge her feelings.

If you're not a fan of dense, air-headed girls then this manga is not for you because besides her kindness which I appreciate, that's all she really is. It's hard to believe that someone who excelled in all subjects of high school, has no idea what having "romantic" feelings for someone means. Most of the time she is in this dazed, dream like state which you think might be because she's thinking a lot, but really, she's just oblivious.

The other characters on the other hand, are at least more tolerable. Yanagi is probably the only reason that made me continue this manga; he's very genuine and dedicated to Kujou. Without his effort, their relationship wouldn't have progressed anywhere so I really respect that he tries so hard for her.

Over all, it's your typical shoujo manga that's to be read to pass time, but I didn't enjoy it. I wanted to finish the story but turning the pages felt more like a chore than a genuine interest so I gave up.
