The story is definitely intriguing. It's set in history during a post-apocalyptic time. Every episode has a cliffhanger, which makes you want to keep continuing. There are definitely cliché anime story points in this, but those parts go unnoticed with all the zombie slashing happening:)
Art is detailed and amazing! It definitely has some old yet reminiscent animation form from the good old days mixed with smooth animation from today.
Characters were the downfall with this anime. Main character is slightly annoying, trying to be the hero when he is mentally weak. The personality of some characters are generic, but I tried to ignore that while watching.
Zombie animes are rare, so why not give it a chance and watch? Also, if you like SNK, I'm sure you might like this as well.
