Story is garbage. Wizards in the sky fight mechanical looking bugs. I'm not sure how this happened. I am sure that the story committed suicide by jumping off the flying island. Basic explanations are missing, interesting dialogue is nowhere to be found, no deeper meanings or inferred context to be analyzed. Just nothing.
Art is not good. Most of the training takes place in the sky with very little background to be drawn. This does not translate into more effort being put into the characters and city design. Action scenes and effects did not receive any love either.
Sounds bad. OP is terrible. The reused music throughout the show is annoying and bland. Voice acting is not memorable.
Characters are beyond bland. The idiot, the shy one, and the I'm better than everyone else along with the weird instructor. Through a series of team building exercises that last the whole show, the characters marginally improve. This improvement is barely worth mentioning and effectively changes nothing in the anime.
Enjoyment? There is no enjoyment. Action is terrible. Story is awful. Characters are pathetic. This show offers nothing for anyone to enjoy. It's not even an interesting train wreck. Watching this show for the sole purpose of mocking it is a waste of time.
I don't say this often, but please believe me. This show should not be viewed by anyone. Ever. It has zero redeeming qualities and is pure garbage. Frankly, it should have never been made.
