A guy, who has a passion for calligraphy, gets sent to an island and makes friends with the villagers. An island? You can't help but think "why, an island?" But even so, it is an island full of friendly villagers.
Every second of the series makes you laugh. You can't help but find the protagonist's interactions with the children hilarious and adorable.
Everybody makes mistakes. And everybody isn't a Mary-Sue/Gary Stu. It is rare to find anime that has characters with flaws. For example, Handa Seishuu learns and grows as a character. He makes mistakes and tries to reflect on what he has done.
I just like the interactions of Handa and the rest of the villagers. It is heart-warming to watch. So if you're looking for an anime to watch and like a bit of comedy and relaxation, then this is for you!
