Fully immersive and tremendously enjoyable series. Watching Hotaru and her friends live very normal day-to-day lives in their very rural country village is one of the most relaxing and stress-reducing activities that I've come across. Every single scene is rendered beautifully, and will really take you to another dimension.

The artists did an amazing job with setting up the scenes; I found myself wanting to go take walks to nearby parks every time I watched the show.

There is slow but noticeable character development, but a normal amount that real children would go through in the timespan of the series. All of the characters have distinct personalities, and it's so easy to fall in love with every single one.

After watching this masterpiece, I found myself wanting to go wander around and play like a kid again. Just today I went to a park and (as a 22 year old husky guy) played on the swings to my heart's abandon. Good job, Non Non Biyori, you've made me young again.
