These anime series is not like any other anime. The story is very heart warming and the kind of "slow" development between Sawako and Kazehaya didn't annoy me at all.. In fact, it was very adorable to see those two getting closer by baby steps.
Story (9/10):
The story revolves around a girl named Kuronuma Sawako (often mistaken as Sadako a.k.a. the girl from "The Ring"). At school she doesn't really have friends, since everyone thinks they'll get cursed by even sitting on the chair she used to sit on! That all changes, though, as she made new friends: Kazehaya-kun, Chizu-chan and Yano-chin (that's how she refers to them). The whole lonely girl making friends is, of course, not really a new thing in the anime/manga world, which makes the story a kind of cliché. HOWEVER, everything besides that is not really that cliché. Okay, except from the fact that Kazehaya is a popular guy chased by many girls who even set up a "Kazehaya belongs to everyone" group. I'm rattling too much right now.. Anyways, this anime is definitely worth watching!
Art (9/10):
It's kind of.. yeah, plain, but also very creative. The characters don't have outstanding looks, pink hair, unnatural eye colors.. They just look like average japanese students. The reason why I give the art style an 9 is because to me, that kinda looks plain. But at the same time it looks nice too, I just don't know what to say about it. There are some moments when the art kinda differs, such as when Sawako gets nervous and such. She kinda turns into a chibi character or something like that lol. That always cracks me up. When Sawako smiles, however, the art mostly turns into a beautiful colorful art (since Sawako rarely smiles). This will all make sense to you if you watch the show, honestly..
Sound (9/10):
The sound was pretty nice. They used the right kind of music at the right moments. I also happened to hear acoustic versions of the intro/ending song. These were really peaceful.
Character (8/10):
As for the character.. Honestly, you can't help but feel sorry for Sawako from time to time. She's pretty dense, you know. Sometimes a little too dense, to be honest. Sometimes it's pretty funny how she struggles to understand something that's actually very easy to understand. However, it's very fun to watch her open up more and more throughout the story.
Enjoyment (9/10):
I've actually re-watched this anime, because I knew how cute the story was. I really loved it the first time, but the second time was even lovelier. This anime is just ADORABLE.
Overall (8,8/10):
JUST WATCH IT ALREADY! Oh, and don't forget about season 2!
