Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki really is a beautiful film. However, if you were to embrace it fully, you would need to understand the greater depth. It is NOT a movie that does not show hints at what it's trying to get at - it's pretty easy to assume if you like to analyze the characters' actions. But if not, you'll most likely see it as a story with no plot at all, which is not true! Try and understand the characters' motives into a deeper meaning, and you'll need to know how to say goodbye. Saying goodbye is incredibly emphasized in Ookami. This film is one of many in which you'll need to be satisfied with not having a in-your-face happy ending, it'll either appeal to you or it won't.

Story: 9/10
Honestly it's a 10 but if I were to be a little unbiased without analyzing too much, it'd be a 9. Like I said above, you need to try to understand the underlying characters' motives by relating what they did to his/her character. Without doing so, his/her actions will probably appear really stupid & careless for a lot of the scenes.
It's still enjoyable without analyzing as much if you think of it as just a beautiful movie showing two kids growing up with their mother; their mother is left alone to raise her wolf children without knowing how to do so since the father's gone. So even without analyzing, you can also just appreciate and relate (at least somewhat, if not fully) to the kids, who grow up trying to find whom they are, and the mother, who tries to show her love for her children by doing everything in order to provide for them.

Art: 10/10
The art is seriously smoothly executed and beautiful. It's very much similar to Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, and I'm sure it's because three of the key animators for Ookami have worked on that movie as well, so A+ to them! Everything flows together nicely and the movements do not seem rushed at all.

Sound: 10/10
The music's nice and suiting for the scenes. The voice actors and actresses did an amazing job conveying the character's emotions and it really does get to you.

Character: 9/10
To me, character development is a 10/10. All of the characters are enjoyable, having their own personalities with undoubtedly shine through - even the side characters. The characters have made me crack many smiles, laugh, frustrated (in the best way possible) and shed tears.

Enjoyment: 10/10
I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it and would definitely watch it again.
