Just my the art work presented before watching this anime is absolutely beautiful. The animation is fluid and the only times it was a little cheesy is close up of the musicians playing their instruments.
The music compositions isn't anything to be overlooked. None of it was recorded sound some artist did for an album. Which also overlaps the story in this sense. Not in a bad way. Watching the anime and feeling what each character is experiencing/feeling gives the music that much depth. With each piece you can hear the aggressiveness, mourning, joy, etc. etc. With each performance you see the progression with everyone.
The story was beautiful, with some parts I found annoying. Overall the anime has a wonderful beginning, with struggles, plot twist, and beautiful ending.
With the anime full of emotion, beautiful music, art and character growth. It's will always be a a favorite.
