The motto to this anime to me is "The power of friendship trumps all". The Fairy Tail guild is the most controversial guild in all of Fiore and it shows in the anime. They are reckless, rough and just want to have fun. Guild Master Makarov strives to make sure his "children" are making the most of their magic and wants them to live their lives to the fullest. As a result, the wizards of Fairy Tail are carefree and pretty much do whatever they want. The Fairy Tail members get into a lot of adventures and misadventures over the course of this 175 episode series. They cause a lot of trouble and stop a lot of it too. No matter the challenge though, Fairy Tail will never know the meaning of the word quit. On one side of the coin they drink and have fun with their fellow guild members but on the other side they will do whatever it takes to protects each other as well. Watching this series makes me wish there was a Fairy Tail guild that I could join and be apart of a family like this. The series is entertaining, the action is great, the characters are hilarious and the magic itself is pretty cool to watch. During each arc it seems Fairy Tail fights and wins through sheer willpower and to be honest, they probably do. Each opposing challenge they face seems to cater in their opponents favor, but somehow, someway Fairy Tail finds a way to win. That what brings me back to the motto I set for this series, "The power of friendship trumps all", because without their friends by their side, Fairy Tail would never win. I'm not saying these wizards are weak though, they are just reckless and when its time to get serious is when their power ignites. There are many arcs in this series but my favorite one in particular is the last one, The Grand Magic Games. Fairy Tail enter these games to assert themselves as the top guild in all of Fiore and it is packed with badassery. During this arc, Fairy Tail proves that it is full of the best wizards in Fiore and it is so entertaining to watch. From start to finish, the series sees some changes, new members join, old members come back, and some members leave, but each wizard is as entertaining to watch as the next. The series is emotional, action packed, and fills you will joy. A few complaints though, I personally hate the parts involving the celestial spirits, they themselves are cool and all but I get tired of seeing them. There is filler and some of the arcs are drawn out a lot, to the point where you're sure they could've cut at least 10 episodes out of some, but it is a lengthy series and it tries to pack a lot of info into each arc (a lot of which you probably won't care about). But it is a good series to watch casually, that's how I watched it, I'd watch 20 episodes here then switch to something else, then watch 20 more and so on. It is very entertaining to watch and I enjoy it a lot, I hope you will too.
