Spoiler
Kyoukai no Kanata was a spectacular anime. It's an anime that I chose at random, not really expecting to love as much as I did. This is my first review ever and the reason I'm doing it at all is because I feel like I need to express how amazing this anime was. There were some flaws, but there are flaws in every anime. Overall, it kept my attention throughout the entire anime. I started it this morning and I finished it just a minute ago.

Story: 8
As far as the story goes, it is absolutely perfect until near the end where it gets a bit confusing. (Spoiler alert) They don't really explain fully what the puppet Akihira is until later, they don't really explain all that well about how she defeated the beyond the boundary and how it got back inside him, and lastly, they don't explain at all how she is even alive at the end or how the ring just dissolved into thin air when he was holding. Those are minor things, though, when you think about it. How certain things happen isn't important because all the audience should really care about is the happy ending.

Art: 10
The art in this anime is fantastic and I noticed a lot of good things about the art while I was watching. One thing in particular that I noticed (not sure if this counts as art, but whatever) is that when Sakura is sort of leaning over, her bell necklace is stuck in between her chest and her sweater. And then it falls out and idk, just the movement and the way that action was displayed was perfect.

Sound: 9
I don't have much to say about the sound exactly, because it's not something I really pay close attention to. The voice actors for Mirai and Akihira are perfect, though, I can say that much. His voice when he's yelling has the perfect undertone, and her voice when she's crying sounds so real and heartbreaking that you can't help but tearing up. The sound effects were great, too. When Mirai used her blood to unlock Akihira's door, the sound of the blood going in and hardening and turning the lock was just right.

Character: 9
The characters were developed really well, however, I didn't like the whole 'that's unpleasant' thing. I mean, catch phrases are great when you use them sparingly but when you use them literally all the time it seems so on-purpose that I can't help but cringe every time. But I love how the romance developed throughout the story and the characters' understanding of one another is really great.

Enjoyment: 10
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime and I honestly wish it were longer. I usually skip the parts where people who aren't the main characters aren't involved, but I didn't skip anything for this anime. I watched the whole thing from the edge of my seat and I cried and I laughed and I had a great time watching it. I can only hope to find an anime as enjoyable as this one again.

Overall: 10
Overall, this anime was a hit, at least in my opinion. I loved it. There were some mistakes and some places where things could've been better, but overall this anime was everything an anime should be.
