I am honestly surprised with the low score reviews since I watch the anime before actually visiting here. And I am here because I only reviewing anime worth to watch. And 'Kabaneri of The Iron Fortress' is really worth to watch.

I might say it is a great anime, not up to my masterpiece score but it is pretty thrilling and I ended up watching the whole episode in one day (it is that good for me).

Watching this isn't that exhausting like when I watch Kill la Kill (with that extensive animation) or watching Hyouka or Bakemonogatari (with those extensive screenwriting) but I wouldn't say it is a light anime as well, in fact it is quite heavy in that regard.

It might be the reason people putting up low score reviews (I said reviews because in overall rating it is almost reach 8.0 which is way above average). The story theme quite..hmm..how to say it..its quite general survival anime. It is on the line with anime such as 'Shingeki no Kyoujin'...'High School School of The Dead'..hmm..what else...maybe with a bit influence of that western movie "Snowpiercer"..yeah I think combination of that 3 is this anime.

I really like the heroine (Mumei). Her costumes, combat animation, as well as her cool but energetic atmosphere she bring in the anime.

Well...since I have said that 'Koutetsujou no Kabaneri' resemblance a lot from that 3 movie I mentioned above, most of the detail and character are pretty the combination of them. The villain while not strong enough in terms of purpose and the way he executing his evil plan (unlike General Zod from Superman Man of Steel, one of those villain I like to watch).

One of the regret from this anime is that the story and the climax seems too rushed and the anticlimax/the ending not long enough to actually cool you down from the heat of the final battle.

Makes me wonder for 2nd season...
And I can't wait if it does have 2nd season..
Tanoshimi desu! :)
