Hey folks, this will be a review for Ore Monogatari!!. I'm a bit late to this party, but it still seems like it was worth showing up to. I do have some complaints, but overall its a really fun, cute and relaxing show and I do recommend it.

The story is something that I believe won this show so much fame. Unlike many romance shows, Ore Monogatari has the two characters in a relationship for most of the show. Most of the show after the first four or so episodes is dedicated to small things like building up courage to hold hands, trips to various places, misunderstandings and all the small semi dramatic things you can think of to spice up the show.

The art was great. It took me so long to try the show because of how Takeo looked in the cover image. However the art style is awesome and even the look of Takeo adds some extra points for the show. The soundtrack was equally as good.

The characters were fun and interesting. Takeo being the big, gorilla like main character adds a lot of comedy and understandable misunderstanding to the show. His best friend Sunakawa seems like hes the cool and popular type, but he plays it completely different. He is more of the intellectual side of Takeo, supporting him from the shadows. Yamato is the love interest, and she is the cutest thing you will ever see. She loves pastries, and Takeo, seems a little dim, and also has normal human interests.

There are plenty of side characters, but many are there for the added lite drama or just to spice up the show and not really worth noting.

I enjoyed this show a lot. However I now understand why so many Harems, and romance shows hold off on the actual coupling of the characters. Though its frustrating to watch as they dance around one another without progression, its equally frustrating to have nothing to look forward to. In all honesty this show didn't need to be 24 episodes long. 12 episodes would have been enough to cover most of the really good episodes and cut out the frankly boring filler. The characters were interesting but once you got to know them, their antics and humor seemed a bit forced and dry. This didn't ruin the show though, its really fun and a good break from the the crap.

TLDR: Funny, cute, actually show about a couple. 24 episodes was a bit much, filler episodes can get boring. Recommend to anyone who like romance and good characters.
