I personally think both opinions are valid in my eyes for different reasons. For those who don't read the manga and just gets enjoyment from the main idea and not see nuance then you'll enjoy it. For those who is an astute mind. This anime doesn't do the manga in just if we were to do a comparison. As some of the changes in the anime were minor but made the writing weaker and the pacing felt too rushed.
For one we couldn't know Yashiro full back story that leads readers to hate and dislike him even further or how they talk about Kenya backstory on WHY he wants to be a lawer his father's backstory.
You can't love a character really easily if you're going to skip the backstory. It takes more than a character personality to like them. There's character chemistry(or character interaction) and backstory are important. Now for those who say the series is rushed, felt some parts was missing,
Or characters lack backstory read the manga, With any manga you create your own pace which part of the experience
Also airi's backstory on her goals in the future wasn't revealed as well.
The manga had a more solid writing and start reading the original material instead of this adaptation you won't regret it... hopefully
