In this era, NEET is not a rare person to be found, spread around us unconsciously, not all of 'em is worth nothing. Like these two siblings, Sora and Shiro, unexpectedly are the perfect combo in many games. They are surely unbeatable in every fields aside from their identities as NEET and hikkikomori.
Their life was flat yet full of victory among other human players ended when one day, the God challenged them and lost. By the losing of God, Sora and Shiro then decided to wipe the plainness of their real world and went to the alternate world as the God offered. In this alternate world where "everything is decided by game", Sora and Shiro create a goal to domineer all nations (of many races other than humans) in order to once again challenge the God in alternate world and get the throne as the God itself. How the wheels of fate will lead them?

At first glance, the plot was not too entertain me but good enough to push me watch it. It is quite unique, even with the fantasy and game thingy, there is something different from the show. Maybe it's because the main characters and focus story itself are absurd in a good way. First landed of Sora and Shiro in the alternate world after being catapulted instantly by the God makes curiosity hit the peak, faintly asking something like what kind of surprise this show can do to amuse us? The story went damn well from the introduction of other characters that will accompany us through the show and be partners of Sora and Shiro to achieve their goal together. It's simply not too slow, and not in haste either.

I couldn't see much char dev in this anime. When Sora and Shiro are the focus of story progress, other characters such as Stephanie and Kurami complete it nicely, that's all. The involvement of other characters outwardly and inwardly forms understanding and unfolds the story smoothly. The ratio between main characters and other characters development by the story progress, thereby around 5 : 2.

Not a hot news anymore if I say this anime has a good graphics that please our eyes. Normally fantasy or game or adventure genre has good animation, as well as NGNL series. NGNL has breathtaking scenes despite of the battle they have solely based on duel which is determined by a game (not a fighting/war). These fascinating scenes also connected to the story takes place in alternate world, quirky sceneries mostly caused by diversity of races lives in this world, their character designs also the town constructions.

I like the music too~ No Game No Life has good theme songs, and don't forget to listen to its character songs. The OP theme is sung by Konomi Suzuki "This game" and for 11th ep, "Onegai☆Snyaiper (おねがい☆すにゃいばー)" by Izuna Hatsuse. "This Game" song has good and beating rhythm, I was desperately waiting for full version of this song when it wasn't out.
The ED theme song is sung by Ai Kayano (Shiro's seiyuu) "Oracion (オラシオン)". I adore the seiyuu's voice when sing this song, the weak-husky voice feels like Shiro is singing from her deepest heart beautifully.

I really enjoy the show, all aspects are so good, even without the ecchi-ness I would say that I will still love the series. The ecchi-ness is one of its charm point, not only it's the way to relax us from the tense of heavy-brain-damaged game but also it's somewhat amusing by slipping jokes. It feels like the story tells us to not just desire things half-heartedly but place your goal high to motivate yourself go through every problematic events in life. My rate is 8!
Pros:
Unique story (with nice logic related to the game) and characters
Nice visuals
