This show had the potential to be one of my favorites of all time. The characters were really intriguing, the OP was one of the best I've ever seen, the story concept was brilliant and carried out well, I like the animation. There were so many good things to say about the movie but the reason that this show gets an 8 rather than a 10 is just for one crucial error. The whole show is under developed. You learn practically nothing about most of the characters, all of whom seem intriguing. There is a brand new world that the anime introduces and it is ready to be explored, yet it seems that the show barely scratches the surface. There could easily be spin offs or sequels( ehh... ), but as a stand alone, the anime doesn't do justice to the world or characters created. If the show was more fully developed, it could've been my favorite anime yet. All this said though, it is a really good show that covers deep and taboo concepts and no matter who you are, you should give it a try.
