Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei; otherwise known as 'The Tatami Galaxy' is a truly spectacular work of art. It is the epitome of what anime should strive to be and breaks away from the norms of most anime being released these days. If you came here expecting a straight-forward, linear show, with lots of action scenes and crazy superpowers, sadly, this anime is exactly the opposite and may not be for you.

However, if you enjoy amazingly written dialogue, a unique set of characters, beautiful art, a story that tests your mental capabilities and something that truly isn't alike anything you've seen before; look no further, The Tatami Galaxy is the perfect anime for you.

Let me say this, the less you know going into The Tatami Galaxy, the greater your watching experience will be. My advice to you, just watch it, if what I said prior appeals to you, then I assure you that you will fall in love with The Tatami Galaxy. While I did love this show and without a doubt, believe that it is deserving of a 10, I will admit that this anime is not for everyone. If you're an avid fan of shounens and don't enjoy heavy dialogue such as the Monogatari Series, this may not be the show for you, however, I would still recommend you give it a try.
