This is an anime adaptation of a game that has been squashed into 13 episodes which I will admit was quite disappointing. This story is about special high school students that are the best in their niche. The range and diversity of talents that these kids have has been quite entertaining. We've got: super duper scion, super duper swimmer, super duper baseball star, super duper gang leader etc. The character design is both intriguing and cute, if you're looking for a gory anime because the synopsis is about murder then I hope you don't mind pink blood. (It was to keep the ratings down, don't hate the awesome producers :3)

Komaeda Naegi has been chosen by 'chance' to enter Danganronpa high school, little did he know the good ratings were all propaganda... he is thrust into a dark room and is awoken naturally by his conscience. He then somehow (lol) makes his way to the gym where all the super dupers are to meet. A lot of friendly and unfriendly characters greet him. Head of the school is a black and white bear (Monobear) Who tells them that they'll be trapped in this school forever and if they want to graduate then they must murder someone. LET THE PSYCHOLOGICAL GAME COMMENCE!!! This story is not super dark though I'd say give it to kids over 8 so they'll be able to mentally prepare for a few twists and surprises here and their.
