What got me hooked: The music was spectacular (I am a pianist that does this stuff, but it's great music nevertheless). The general idea of creating a series around middle-schoolers in piano competitions is quite awesome. The characters are fascinating, mostly Kousei having such a deep story and wild upbringing. There was was multifarious emotions, having sadness, joy, love, sorrow, and just the sheer amount of relatable-ness there was blew my mind.

If you're looking for a good Cryer movie, this is the one. A cry though that will show you happiness and sadness at the same time. Also, this show is very inspiring, in that after watching I feel very driven to work hard after seeing a bunch of twelve-year-olds rock out to Chopin like it was nothing.

Key aspects: Friendship, Romance, a neat perspective from what if feels like to be the best, and what it feels like to fall. It also really shows how to love others and appreciate and grow off of others talents, rather than hate them for it or hate yourself for it.

I give it a ten, because after I had about tenfold the tears. ):

Yes it's sad, and your emotions will be tugged...but we all like that, right?
