This review is going to be on the anime "Clannad", now, keep in mind. This review is based off of BOTH Clannad, and Clannad After Story. Please, enjoy!
Story: 10 - OUTSTANDING!!
The story was really well done, it makes you really happy at some points, a little frustrated in a tiny other few and sad in the rest of the parts. The emotions really get to you and I believe that is what makes Clannad an awesome anime to watch, you can feel the anime reaching out to you, dragging you further into addiction.
Art: 9 - Great!
The art was very well done, I personally liked the graphics on the Snow and Sakura, but the Characters felt like they were missing something when it came to art atleast.
Sound: 8 - Very Good
The sound wasn't bad but it wasn't the best I've ever heard in an anime before, the openings and endings were catchy but some points in the anime you hear a few sounds that are off, however, this isn't a big problem. I'd still recommend the anime the same if I had given it 10 or 1 on the Sound Department.
Character: 10 - OUTSTANDING!!
The characters were so well done, I personally loved every character in the anime. I liked watching everyone get older. What I like is that Clannad shows the Characters' hardships in life, it shows that not everything is as easy going as some of the Younger Generation think. There are always some problems, and sometimes, they're impossible to avoid.
Enjoyment: 8 - Very Good!
I only rated Enjoyment an 8 seeing as it really depends on what anime you watch, for me, I'm more of an action anime watcher and I haven't really watched very many sad anime before, so, when I watched Clannad, I was even more sad than the average person, if you like sad anime then you'll probably think of the Enjoyment aspect at even a 10.
Overall: 9 - Great!
I loved this anime, so much, it shows just how much hardships are in life and how impossible it is to avoid some of them, it really kicks you in the gut with all the turns. I would recommend this anime for any kind of anime viewers, whether you've just started watching anime or you've watched a few hundred series. Whether you're 16, or 30. Female, or Male. My point is, anyone can watch Clannad, just be prepared to be sad atleast once while watching it.
