ReLIFE (Anime) add (All reviews)
Jul 3, 2016
The younger crowd may not relate that much to ReLife, but for me it was a very special experience to watch it. I'm on my 30s and it's really easy to see yourself in Kaizaki's place. The story is well written, leaving some gaps to make you interested, and throwing some information, little by little, making you build the story as the time goes.
Also the theme song selection is really interesting, because as a j-music fan, I was listening to all these songs during my high school period. Every end of the episode was very nostalgic to me.
And as we grown up still liking anime, it's really hard to find something to relate to. Yet, it's really nice to see the 'grown up world' to be pictured in an anime, even if it's not located in a 'grown up' environment (since the story is during high school). But alongside Shirobako and Usagi Drop, this anime made me feel that the youth can see a grasp of adulthood being what it is, with it's failures and difficulties, being fun when it has to be, being dramatic when it has to be, and with some really dense parts. It's a really great anime to watch, specially if you are already an adult.
