The story was good. It had interesting aspects that a lot of magic anime don't really have, such as the whole CAD thing, which makes casting spells faster and more efficient. The master clans was cool, I just wish they went deeper into it, because all they mentioned was that there were these clans which were run by different families. That's it. That's all there was. It sounded like a good start, but there wasn't much else about the clans. Magic is a favorite theme in anime. I love these types of things, since they don't happen in real life. The school system was a cool feature, but there were a lot of things that didn't stick in the overall plot, and were just there to serve one task, then were forgotten. Which was a little sad, but it happens all the time in short anime series, so I'll let it slide. Overall, the story was pretty cool.
I wont go into art and sound, beyond the fact that they did it really well. I loved the colors, although it was overdone sometimes.
The characters were Mediocre at best. There was a loli, a sister with a brother-complex and a brother with a sister-complex, A flirty manipulator who may or may not be the student council president, a loud mouthed girl with wild hair who is friends with a quiet girl, two quiet girls one who is most likely in love with the main character but too afraid to say anything and the other who is there to support the other quiet one, and lastly, to finish my point, a big guy who can be nervous, but stands up for others.
I did enjoy it, besides all it's flaws. It is an enjoyable show, mostly later on in the series, but if you enjoy school anime, you'll like this anime early on. It does have a softcore incest type thing going on, but not quite fullblown incest. So you've been warned if you don't like that type of thing. The incest starts loud, then calms down, then gets out of control near the end.
Well... I don't really know what else to say. I just finished the anime, and the ending was extremely disappointing. I won't say anything beyond that.
