To watch just good anime is a great pleasure. It's not the greatest Ghibli work, but just high-quality philosophical story for children. The main idea is obvious: for choosing your professional way it's necessary to do anything. Just try and you find your way of life! It's a touching story about talents and thair owners. For me the love story was a good accompaniment for personality and master formation.
The main image for me - it's occasionaly formed band for Tsukishima's song. For me it was about how we find way for self-expression among our milieu, about our potention which can be developed or killed by our friends.
It was difficult to watch "Whisper of the Heart" as "The Cat Returns" prequel. The art and cats' color soesn't matter. The difference is dynamics. There is less questions in "The Cat Returns". The main idea is clear from the first minutes. Time management is not so interesting for me.
So, great Ghibli's art and sound, beautiful story, interesting characters, much fun... But all together is not so good. For some of my friends it was boring and too childish. So, the summary is good, just good.
