If there is any consolation for this anime, it's that the art and animation is beautiful.

The soundtrack is outstanding. Easily sets the tone for each and every scene.

The characters are completely devoid of logic, and critical thinking. Made me feel like they should just all die tbh. Not to mention our annoying female lead Mumei who became the first multi-archetype character in existence xD. She has got to be one of the most inconsistent characters i have seen in a long time. And don't get me started on Ikoma...Going from somewhat logical (take that with a grain of salt) to completely illogical is heartbreaking. He turns into an irrational, and overly self-righteous idiot that somehow gets his happy ending regardless of what the plot may have said. See I already wasted too much time on this -_-
Enjoyment: 6
You can definitely find enjoyment in this. The action scenes and great soundtrack can help mask the loss of brain cells you lose from this series. I mean it's not everyday you get to see a zom- oops i mean "half-zombie" (kabaneri) fire a laser from their mouths, or even use the force when plot requires them to...OR BETTER YET, a character survives through unexplained bullshit plot armor...smh i'm done, let's wrap this up

Kabaneri doesn't seem to make it to my garbage can, it gets to join the rest of the pile of shit anime that just didn't clear the stage of mediocrity. I will legit give this the shit emoji as I set it along with many other titles from this season on fire...
