Time to talk about Kill la Kill an anime that is talked by many for being a series that cant be taken seriously but can be taken seriously at the same time. At first I didn't really enjoy the first half of the show, I was going to give the show a seven out of ten which is my ranking for popcorn anime but I got really into it in its later halve. I heard of this show when I just started watching anime and after watching a scene from the first episode I thought there will never be a point where I will watch such a show and enjoy it. However I did enjoy it more than I expected.

Now for a note on the fan service this show is notorious for which is not that notorious in my opinion. If you are a person who is hates every little thing to do with fan service then this show might not be for you. However its used for tasteful humor (actual funny humor) and not forced humor which you would find in every ecchi fan-service anime (making a terrible overused joke as an excuse just to show oppai) out there. A casual anime watcher who is not a perv you can enjoy this show with your soul still in tact.

The story of this series is pretty much like how a story is told in a video game. The main character is on quest to defeat this person who is the final boss. However they must beat different bosses until they get to the level where the final boss is present. Our main character is Ryoko and our boss is Satsuki. The majority of the series story is Ryoko fighting these different characters until she can get to Satsukis level. Each fight in the series is an epic battle of power, wits and randomness. The reason I give my score for the story an eight out of ten is cause even I never truly got into it until its later halve, the first halve was kind of like other stuff I have seen before but still it was done well.

How the Art in the series was done was one of the high points of the show. The character designs where interesting and got more interesting as the series progressed. The Art seems kind of messy at first but it stands out in the fights that happen every episode. The fights show a lot of movement between the characters and the detail on the destruction of the surrounding environment being animated was a really nice touch which is not done so well in other anime. Along with decent blood spatter effects I would give the art of Kill la Kill a nine out of ten.

The OST of the series is pretty catchy with its best tracks being all about putting more awesomeness into the fights. The opening themes are catchy especially the second. The character voices for subbed version of the show that I was watching are pretty decent and pack a lot of emotion my favorite being the voice of Gamagori who's evil laughter which I love and quote "HUUHAHAHAHAHAHAH".

I really got to like some of the characters of Kill la Kill. Apart from the mains who I saw as your average over the top cliche rivalry you had great supporting characters. My favorite being Mako who is a bundle of comedy that every anime lacking comedy needs. Gamagori is the perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. All the characters in this show are a general personification of what is crazy which is why I would rate the characters a nine out of ten.

In terms of enjoyment I finished the series happy and not disappointed. In saying that I would give my enjoyment of the show and my overall ranking of the show a eight out of ten.

Story 8/10
Art 9/10
Sound 8/10
Character 9/10
