You hear dat? Dat's what we call, the comedy-ecchi-shounen series, boys.
And it is literally delicious.
Shokugeki no Soma is sometimes trashed upon, other times loved upon, and I happen to enjoy it quite a bit. Season 2 is out soon, and to celebrate, I thought I could write a review on how I felt.
There's a kid named Soma Yukihira and he goes to a cooking school. The end. That's most of the plot. Oh, and he meets some cool cats along the way; we call these little fellas our cooking harem. There's a naked guy in it. I like him.
Then there's BEST WAIFU 2020 Megumi Fuckin' Tadokoro, who actually has character development. I've heard some complain about the character development, but I think that most of the characters change in some way. My biggest complaint is that the main character is nearly invincible. He has some, especially later on, but the series ends before we fully see its impact.
If there was a sentence to describe this series, "it's food porn but with chicks"
All the guys reading this have a hard-on right now. I mean seriously, food and ahegao, which happen to be my two favorite things. The food looks beautiful, and I get hungry just watching it. The girls look beautiful, and I get horny just watching it. There's some manservice, for all you girls and dudes who swing like that. That's pretty uncomfortable, but hot.
The foods were professionally designed in the manga by a dude who's name has left me, and thus ALL THE DISHES IN THE SHOW ARE REAL, EDIBLE DISHES SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
