I didn't like it at first. This isn't your typical anime with character centric story. It throws you into the setting of an anime production studio and lets you see all of the stressful turmoil and blunder that is anime creation. It is filled with confusing dialogue with niche terms that, while the anime does try its best to explain to you, goes right past your head. It swarms you with a multitude of characters whose roles are difficult to understand from a newcomer perspective. You find yourself lost as you originally thought the show follows the 5 girls and their growth and friendship. But the main character isn't the girls, but rather the studio itself. I came into this anime totally lost and confused. But I kept going.
But I guess that's how life is. You get put in new situations in which you learn to adapt and understand. You meet new people and learn to empathize with their struggles. After experiencing 24 episodes of stress and hardship, the result is a fond appreciation of the industry and a full commitment to their success.
