Whew...the Tatami Galaxy.. what a ride.
This is what I consider one of the best hidden gems of anime.

First off, this anime has HUGE amounts of dialogue. This is the kind of anime that will force you to think and view the story, characters in a deeper outlook. The artwork for this anime is bizarre and unique, a counterpart of it's art would be the Monogatari series.

The anime starts off rather very confusing. Throughout this show the name of our mc is not released to the viewers. It drops us off in the middle of a school environment and for the first to middle half of the show characters are introduced to us and the we start to gain a liking for our unlucky mc. Some characters, like ozu for example, are an embodiment of some of the mc's problems and personal emotions.

At the end of every episode time resets and in the next episode the mc will be just where the last episode started. There he will repeat the same actions, but will make different choices that greatly affect the characters our mc comes into conflict with and the little situations and problems that pile up on our mc.

As the end of the show approaches, the mc experiences a much more "out worldly" problem that changes him greatly and let him embrace some of his personal aspects and flaws. And yes, if you're wondering if there is romance this show gives us a very satisfying romantic conclusion by the end. By accepting everything about himself, the mc realizes opportunities that were always in front of him for many episodes and takes them. This anime has a very satisfying ending and is definitely worth the watch.

So my verdict. Why are you still here reading this? Watch it now and you'll understand a lot more from just reading this review. I guarantee that the Tatami Galaxy will have you satisfied by the end.
