The story presents an interesting concept of a world controlled by this science driven magic, and then really limits it to school. So there's no real sense of adventure because it's all just academic nonsense.
The characters are terrible. No REAL personality written for them. They're just tropes of anime/manga stories plopped into a series. 8/10 % of the dialogue is meaningless and pushes the story forward in no way what so ever. It's not even interesting. It's the over-explanation of how someone's magic works or it's just poorly timed meaningless banter about nothing at all. Biggest issue is the lack of growth in the main character. They downplay him as an underdog, despite the fact that he's not in any way shape or form and then just let the story continue down the same path which is "no one can beat this guy so lets just put him in danger and watch him win easily every-time".
The music is literally ear cancer. Way to drop the ball with scoring music that adds a sense of urgency. I've literally heard elevator music that resonates more emotion than this trash.
Dropped at episode 6 because the pattern of the episodes were the same and there was zero character growth. No one cares about these boring characters, placed in an incredibly boring scenario in a mediocrely interesting world.
