There are 2 things I fear when it comes to anime. Movie adaption (Again, I sincerely apolgize for dragonball fans everywhere for Evolution), and video game adaptions. I walk into them with the lowest expectations possible like I do with every anime. Now there are a few I'm okay with like the Ace Attorney anime (Kinda in the minority there but I walked in and it met my expectations, which were average to low) and Pokemon (F*ck Black and White though). and then there are some I f*cking despise (School Days, Mars of Destruction and Skelter Sh- I mean Heaven...No further comment) and some that went below my average expectations (Blazblue) That being said I am a huge fan of the Persona series and when I saw this anime I didn't know what to expect.

Hello everyone. For those who don't know I am Josh and today I am reviewing the Persona 4 anime which is adapted from the popular gaming series with a cult following Persona. Let's get this show on the road

Story: The anime stays faithful to the Persona 4 game which I like. Now note this is anime is based off the original Persona 4 game, not Golden, so if you played Golden like me, certain events will not be in there cause this is based off the original game, Golden added content. That being said the pacing is bad. Not the worst pacing I have seen in anything but it is bad. I have no real issue with them using the calendar in the anime but I do find it weird. Overall though the story gets a 6/10. They stay true to the game but the pacing can be a mess. The comedy in it can aldo be hit or mess sometimes but I found my self laughing more

Art- I am okay with the art for the most part. It can be a little weird at times but anything particular bad. I'm okay with all the characters designs and the backgrounds can be alright. Overall 6/10

Sounds- Sounds not bad. The first opening is one I am effy on but the second opening is real good. The voice actors for the dub are good anf they got my favorite one Johnny Yong Bosch voicing the Mc Yu Narukami so it gets a plus for that. Plus the endings are alright. Overall 7/10

Characters: The characters are just how they are in the game, even the MC to a certain extent (The main difference being him talking which he doesn't do in the game). The characters are alright and came out feeling just how I felt for all of them in the games. The interactions between them though I had a few problems cause it seemed like they rushed the interactions. But overall characters get a 7/10.

Enjoyment- I really enjoyed this and to me this is probably one if not the best game adaption in anime. I found myself enjoying this one a lot

Overall- Persona 4 is a good anime but it is an anime you might be better off watching if you played the game. I would still recommend it though to anyone cause it might be a good way to get you into the game. Overall 7/10
