The character development had me intrigued and getting to know them each individually through they're own mini story made them all that more likeable and easier to understand.
The banter between Hitagi and Koyomi was probably my favourite because the dialogue was swift and sharp but also enjoyable in its "they're so cute together" way. I found myself actually falling in love with the pair as the episodes went on because their realtionship was so different compared to most couples you see in anime.
I also enjoyed Koyomis separate relationship with each girl as it was special in there own way, each realtionship had its own "gimic" and I loved that about them.
