This is an incredibly unique, original and genius anime that gave me very positive and happy feels whenever i had the time to watch it. Madhouse is known for its particular productions, and Tatami Galaxy fits perfectly in that category. So, here we go!

Story: The way it is presented is no short of being crafted in a very intelligent way, with a kind of non-linear narrative, and i say ''kind'' because in some cases it interconnects subtly certain scenes. Each episodes has its distinctive mark, every time with distinctive characters, ambience and an underlying morality which is often presented at the end. Anyway, its genius.

Art: Its unique, colorful, strange, hilarious at times. It even combines shots from real life, usually with heavy filters to render them more ''artsy''. Anyway, its genius.

Sound: Its entirely orchestrated, with a wide range of instruments brilliantly played: piano, harmonicas, flutes, violins, trumpets and so on. Only the opening and the ending are different: the opening is composed by Japanese rock band Kung fu Generation and they did a fantastic job because it fits perfectly the nature of the show; while the ending is more electronic and chill. Anyway, its genius.

Character: The protagonist of the show, an unnamed student in his first year of university, is a gentle and an easy going guy which only wants his university life be as full as possible. He encounters in his path a bunch of people that i can assume at the end are his only true friends, most of all the mischievous Ozu that act as a douchebag towards him but he too is a good guy deep down and often helps the protagonist. I won't spoil the others much, but i can assure each one of them are really odd and very well develpoed. Oh, and one important thing: the narrator speaks so damn fast. And i mean, REALLY fast.

Enjoyment: Its an unique work of art that i absolutely appreciated. Its great, really really great.
