WRONG. So wrong. There are a lot of thing wrong with this show, so let's start with the story. SO MANY SPOILERS! AND CURSING! (I am VERY passive-aggressive about this crap show. Well, not really passive.)
Story; There is none. Really. All you see is a girl getting vampire-raped (and possibly actual raped) repeatedly by vampires. There's even a freaking bloodsucking rape threesome. It was honestly terrifying. And then, when there are like 3 episodes left, they start putting in all of this bullshit Oedipus crap. Freud would have ADORED this show. I think Yui got possessed by their mom, and hooked up with the uncle? Or something? All I know is that the mom started making out with her stepson and it was disgusting.
Art: The one saving grace. The art probably deceived so many people into thinking this would be a good anime. I mean, the vampire dudes are actually pretty hot, and the heroine is pretty. The clothes and backgrounds have nice, interesting design. It LOOKS like a good anime. But it is not. It is not.
Sound: Forgettable. the op was typical reverse harem, all the guys singing at you. Creepy. I ignored the ed. And the voice acting was mildly painful, as they must have forced the actors to be in the show. Good actors. Sad. And a heads-up, there is constant slurping and licking sounds that will send shivers up your spine, but in a bad way. I would say to mute it, but it is CONSTANT.
Character; Where to begin?
Yui (the heroine); Spineless and stupid. When she realizes that she is essentially trapped in a horrific Twilight x 50 Shades of Grey parody, the first thing she does is call her dad, not 911. To be specific, her father, the one who sent her to this hell. And she is so stupid. She has the opportunity to escape, and she goes to a church. Really? Not the cops? You can pray just as well in a police station, dearie. And can I mention the fact that she doesn't even struggle when they suck her blood? Like, not even a little. And apparently she is a magical blood bag, because I'm pretty sure she died from blood loss in the first episode. unless of course, she drank some of that elixir from Baccano, which would explain how NONE OF THOSE BITE MARKS STAY ON HER BODY LONGER THAN 3 SECONDS. And when that idiot gave her a vampire-killing knife, she didn't use it on him immediately. Or on any of the brothers. At all. I feel like she probably liked living there. Masochist.
I cannot remember half of those vampires names, but here I go;
Laito (aka, Hat bastard); I hate this guy so much. Maybe the hat was a hint that he was a sack of shit. Literally as soon as she gets into the house, he picks probably the most insulting possible name for her. 'Little bitch'. He just starts calling her that, for THE ENTIRE SHOW. And did I mention he rapes her in a church? Because I am 101% sure he does. And Yui literally does not care that she'd being raped, but she complains that he's doing it in a church. WHAT KIND OF HUMAN BEING GIVES A SHIT WHERE THEY ARE BEING RAPED! A normal person would say; STOP RAPING ME. But she says: 'You can't do that in a church! It's sacrilegious!' I hate that bastard.
Ayato (aka rapist bastard); He is (quite obviously) the love interest. Even though, he constantly drinks her blood, threatens her, and actually once tries to drown her. And then sucks her blood underwater. There are so many things wrong with this show, but one thing I must point out; he forces her to skip class and make food for him. Human food. And then he eats it, and clearly enjoys eating it. And the other brothers are seen eating human food. So why the hell do they have to suck her blood? I think it's because they all hate her. I hate this SOB too. Literally, he is a son of a bitch, because his mom is a bitch. Also, don't roll up one pant leg, you prick. Roll them both or neither. it makes you look like a drooling incompetent who can't dress himself.
Glasses bastard; Super sadist. He doesn't care if the main character gets raped, as long as it's in their bedroom. He threatened to whip her. Really? This is like five minutes after you threatened to kill her. Make up your damn mind. Freak.
Insane shota bastard; He talks to his fucking teddy bear. He stabbed his potatoes to death. He fell off the roof and (sadly) didn't die. Need I say more? He is an insane, 12 year-old looking bastard. I hate him.
Sleeping headphone bastard; Is somewhat more tolerable, if only because he has less screentime. But in his screentime, he makes sure to make you despise him. Wears headphones in the bath because he's that fucking edgy. Can I mention that dumbass heroine actually went to this guy for help once? And to NO ONES surprise, he sucked her blood. And she was surprised. Really? And this was like the 10th episode. She should have seen that shit coming, honestly. I hate this guy. Fuck you and your headphones. Lazy ass.
Obligatory anger issues bastard; gives the heroine a vampire-killing knife, but she is too stupid and does not immediately stab him with it. Gives the heroine a chance to escape, but she's too stupid and stays for some fucking reason. Punches walls a lot. Attacks rose bushes. Stay classy, asshole.
I hope this gives you an idea of how shitty everyone is in this story.
Enjoyment; Not even. I actually felt like I was dying approaching the end of the show. I felt so hopeless...
But then the show ended and I could breath again. I wish there were negative ratings on this site. I mean initially, I laughed because I was seeing so much rapey everything that is was dumb, but then it just got annoying and cringey.
Overall: Don't make my mistake. Don't watch this show. Unless you are a masochist/like rapey undertones. Then please, watch as much as possible. I give this show a 1, only because -9001 isn't a rating on this site.
