I really enjoyed this anime because of how carefree it is. Having gone from binge watching Naruto and Naruto Shippuden to watching Maid-sama! was quite a change but it was a great one nonetheless. This anime is very funny and interesting to watch. The characters are very relate-able and the overall story and adventure is cute.
This anime does a good job in keeping away from the whole overused "lonely girl falls in love with popular guy and lives happily ever after" and instead focuses on an already strong girl, Misaki, and a (yes popular BUT lonely) boy Usui.
He does not HAVE to come to her rescue all the time because she is already such a strong person. Definitely not a cliche anime, watch it if you have the time and don't want to stress over anything major. :)
