Hellsing Ultimate. Good, but overrated at points.

Story: It was good, and everything meshed well together. It was as dark, gritty, and gorey as I had heard. However, I found the ending to be quite messy, and vague. There was so much build up, and the twist was definitely something of a letdown. As for what little comedy the 10 episode series had, it felt forced and out of place. Everything was really good, but the ending just felt rushed, bland even.

Art: It was, again, very dark and gritty. Arucard was evil looking, as though the devil himself had spawned on earth. Once again, the "comedic" art scenes felt forced and unnecessary. There was no need for comedic relief in something this dark, yet they put it in anyways. The fire, the blood, almost all of the art was well done, especially for its time.

Sound: There wasn't much music, nor was there anyany OP/ED. That said, I enjoyed the orchestral pieces. They blended nicely with the dark atmosphere. Granted, I haven't seenseen the dub, but the sub felt weird, maybe a bit awkward?

Characters: Arucard, I have consistently seen him compared to Lelouch (of Code Geass), but I didn't see it. That said, I loved his dark, menacing laugh. Integra, however, bored me. She seemed like a generic "hard-ass," so to speak. Seras was okay, but not fleshed out very well. She felt like a cardboard cutout to me. The Major? He was, again, average. Maybe even a little too silly for my tastes.

Enjoyment: It was good, overall. There were a lot of strong points, and few (but big) flaws in the show. It was memorable, but can also be easily forgettable. It was overall a strong show that an enjoyable experience, but it was also incredibly easy to poke holes through.
