Your lie in April will make you cry at the end. This is the price you pay for watching this anime. It's an amazing story about a young boy who gives up on his musical career as he can no longer hear the notes. Until he finds a girl...

He falls for this girl head over heels but can't do anything as she's the girl that likes his best friend. Their friendship blossoms throughout this anime becoming stronger through music. The uses of colour and sound in this anime heavily convey the emotions they are feeling. Although they say they are only 14 these emotions they deal with are sometimes quite mature, so are some of the scenarios, Although somewhat realistic. these scenarios all have an importance being in this anime, they help guide the characters on their journey through life where they're "on the same journey but taking different pictures along the way". (That was probably my favourite quote in this anime).

I loved this I thought it was amazing although my only complaint is the fact they didn't bother to tie off loose ends. They could of easily fixed this but I guess they must of wanted to stay true to the manga so I'll let this slide as many anime I feel do this as well, and it's not half baked like other anime.

Overall I thought this was a well thoughtout anime with a great use of visuals and sounds to convey the emotions they wanted. It was fairly well polished, with an interesting drawing style witch is kept simple to not draw away from some of the beautiful backgrounds. I give it 10 only because I can't give it 9.5 as the ending, as good as it was didn't cut it for me.
