There are animes that has an extraordinary plot with lot of action in it and there's those animes which has a very very simple story with no extraordinary element in it. As much I love the action anime, I haven't have any interest in typical romance genre and I avoid those animes as much as possible. However, I have watched your lie in april (finished it recently) because of two reasons. One, It was an trending anime for few months. Two, It involves music. Now as for the anime, The story is to me a very simple one but I was impressed by how the anime was progressed. In one sentence they just break the story into pieces and in the end they sum up the story quite excellently. For the character development I thought it was very very well developed with characters background story. The music was also magnificent, it drives with emotion quite well. For a Drama, Romance anime the animation and artwork is quite ok. For those who haven't watched it or planning to watch it, I would say if u going to watch then watch the whole 22 episodes or don't watch at all. Come to think of it, this anime is one of the best I have seen in recent while. Literally, Your Lie in April in one sentence is a simple anime yet an extraordinary one.
