Kira - the protagonist - thinks he is such a freaking genius and that he will be able to keep on doing what he was doing. In the end he dug his own grave without even knowing it.
Yes the plot continuity is very good, the flow of the story is well done, except for the feeling where they just wanted to wrap up the show and kill of everyone. And it also feel like, for me, the characters didn't undergo any development. So character wise, not so good.
I would still recommend this anime, but if you don't want to watch an anime with a let down of an ending and everyone using and stabbing each other in the back then this anime is not for you.
