Very rarely do I give a perfect score to anything but this series most definitely deserves these honors. It has been a while since I have seen an anime series that was as well done as this one. I am of course perfectly aware that this series comes from the manga on which it is based, but here I think that they probably did one of the best jobs I've ever seen as far as bringing it to life via animation.

The story is of course incredible. While it is short I truly enjoyed ever episode. It kept me interested and entertained while telling a very compelling story. The story is of course one where the main character must discover himself and his purpose in a world in which he knows nothing about, but soon finds out more than he ever thought possible. This is a story of discovery and re-birth for our main character.

The art is movie quality or better. Very rarely do you see this quality of animation and art in a TV anime. I was to say the least drawn in by the quality of the art and the animation. You can definitely tell that a lot of time and effort was put into bringing this series to life.

The sound is just as good as the animation. Movie quality or better.

Our main character Ledo has a lot of growing to do over 13 episodes and the story comes around that growth quite well. Ledo is thrust into a world that he can not understand let alone comprehend. Ledo is a soldier and always has been. So when he finds himself in a strange world where those qualities aren't necessarily needed and are most times frowned upon he has to grow beyond his "purpose" and find a his place in his new home.

Overall I really enjoyed this anime. I really wish there was more to the story as I really fell in love with this story and it's characters. But with that aside I don't feel let down by the way it ended. It was a good ending and an appropriate one for the story. I am currently re-watching the series.
