When watching Konosuba, 2 anime came to my mind: Sword Art Online and Mondaiji-Tachi. It seems to have a combination of aspects from both.

Story: Our main character Kazuma is an otaku, on one of the rare occasions where he leaves his room and goes out, he dies. Upon dying he finds himself in front of Aqua, a goddess, who gives Kazuma a choice: Go to heaven, or be reborn into an RPG-like world and help the people of that world defeat the devil king. Aqua allows Kazuma to take any sort of power, weapon or anything he chooses with him. After becoming annoyed at being teased by Aqua, Kazuma chooses to take her. This is accepted as part of the rules by heaven and thus she is sent to the other world with Kazuma, being unable to return until she has defeated the devil king.

*The world and how it works (people being classified, guilds, quests to earn money, ability to learn skills, etc) is similar to SAO, but overall the anime feels like Mondaiji in the sense that it is more comedic then serious or dramatic.

Art & Sound - The art isn't the best, I have noticed a few inconsistencies especially with character designs, but overall is fine and doesn't hinder the anime. Sound is ok, nothing rememberable about the OP or ED.

Character - The characters are the best aspect of the anime, they are extremely funny and enjoyable. From Kazuma having a skill enabling him to 'unintentionally' steal underwear to Aqua repeatedly almost getting eaten by a giant frog after heavily overstating her abilities. Kazuma and Aqua are joined by Megumin, who knows powerful explosion magic, but it incapacitates her after one attack and darkness, a crusader who is a masochist. Character development is minimal, but due to the lack of plot it isn't really required.

*Aqua reminds me of Black Rabbit from Mondaiji.
*The MC isn't absolutely clueless or ridiculously dense, which is a bonus.

Enjoyment - This anime series is brilliant, the comedy is there from the 1st episode and the characters are fun to watch. If you enjoy comedy and fantasty anime then you'll most likely enjoy this. If you enjoyed Sword Art Online because of the fighting monsters and clearing floors aspect then this isn't that type of anime, there is very very little plot progression.
