At the beginning I was skeptical about the show because the most helpful reviews gave the show a low rating. I could see why for the first 5 episodes. There is a lot of abuse the girl gets for not only being a girl but for being a lower status human. I am not a fan that she is treated bad because she is a human, but I like the twist it has because most Vampires are treated bad by humans this changes that. The story gets better the more you watch it. Yes all six boys treat her awful. There are reasons for it too. Basically their childhood was contaminated by rivalry that their mothers created. With terrible mothers, the boys had no right women figure in their lives prior to Yui. By the end they do try to keep her as theirs, but more of a "can't live without you" way instead of a "prey" type of way. They end up fighting for her love not just fighting for her like she is property. The second season shows how much they have grown fighting for her.
