Listen To Me Girls, I Am Your Father!

From the very beginning I really enjoyed this art style. The large hair styles are a bit over the top, but it all payed off. I really enjoyed the the use of wind, and hair and all of the other types of small details that made the animation absolutely fantastic. Something I wasn’t to happy about was the amount of Fan Service that seemed to occur. Now I have said before that I am not opposed to fan service, but it really focused on the fourteen year old Sora, and the 10 year old Miu. Now there was no real nudity so there is that but plenty of innuendo which takes us to the story.

This story revolves around a college student, Yuta, who unexpectedly is watching the three kids of his older sister and her husband. Through a twist of events Yuta has to take all three of the sisters--Sora (14), Miu (10), and Hina (3)--and keep them until further notice. There is a romantic interest that is apparent from the very beginning from Sora to Yuta, and while he is more interested in a girl in a club he accidentally joined, and how their relationship develops is fun and witty to watch.

The music here is really fantastic. The opening song is extremely catchy and shows a great example of how the characters interact with each other. While I also love the ending song, I felt that there was a number of times that the song was so upbeat, and when the episode ended on a heavy cliffhanger, it hit me so hard with the happy music that really tore me out from the story. This happened two or three times and while it didn’t hurt the show as a whole, I felt that at the time, it just hurt. But I was hurting from the story, then it just flipped over and I didn’t like that.

Going into the show I had no idea what I was going to get. I was expecting something dealing with Daddy/little girl relationships, and that wasn’t what it was at all. It was overall a story about taking on responsibility when it wasn’t planned. I grew to love each character because they each had their own personality and could stand on their own without one of the other main cast around. While this review might be rather short and sweet, this show will not be that way for watchers. It will grow and grow, and when it does end after a short 12 episodes, you will want to find a way to keep the story going. However, the story comes to a natural stopping point at the end of the final episode, so the choice of continuing the story is really up to you.
